The GIS Boarding Programme welcomes applications from students who are ready to embrace academic excellence, independence, and community life.

Students from Form 1 to Upper Sixth  both from within GIS and external applicants are eligible to apply.

How to Apply

Follow these simple steps to join the GIS Boarding Programme:

  • Apply Online:
    Scan the QR code or click the link provided to access the online application form.

  • Attend an Interview:
    Shortlisted applicants and their parents/guardians will be invited for an interview as part of the vetting process.

  • Receive Feedback:
    Admission decisions will be communicated to applicants after the interview.

  • Complete Required Forms:
    Successful applicants must fill and sign the Parent/Guardian Undertaking, Student Undertaking, and Media Releaseforms.

  • Pay the Required Fees:
    Pay the boarding fees through the GIS Finance Office’s approved payment platforms.

Terms & Conditions

Applicants and parents should note:

  • All applications must be completed and submitted online through the official GIS application portal.

  • Applications are vetted carefully before admission.

  • Admission is based on meeting school criteria, interview performance, and alignment with GIS values.

  • Students may be invited for an interview as part of the selection process.

  • Applicants must be students of GIS or qualified external students entering Form 1 to Upper Sixth.

  • The school may consider factors such as academic standing, conduct, and family commitment to the school.

  • Admission may be influenced by how long a student (or fee-paying parent) has been part of the school community.

  • Families must make a non-refundable 50% commitment fee of the boarding fee to confirm their child’s place.

  • This payment must be made no later than the second week of August before the start of the academic year.

  • Full fees are to be paid through the GIS Finance Office’s approved payment platform.

  • Withdrawals mid-year (for reasons such as relocation, transfer, or personal choice) will incur a 10% administrative fee.

  • Students withdrawn for misconduct will not be allowed to rejoin the programme.

  • The school reserves the right to withdraw a student for violations of the code of conduct or non-payment of fees.

  • Students must complete a health assessment before admission.
  • If a student’s health needs cannot be met within the school’s available resources, GIS reserves the right to decline or discontinue enrolment.
  • Sick students are monitored by the school nurse and referred to a recommended hospital if necessary.
  • Parents must provide accurate emergency contact details and promptly pick up unwell students when requested.

 

    • Students must complete a health assessment before admission.

  • Students must strictly follow the GIS Boarding Code of Conduct.

  • Prohibited behaviors include:

    • Possession or use of alcohol, tobacco, or controlled substances

    • Entering rooms of the opposite gender

    • Leaving the campus without permission

    • Bullying, verbal or physical assault, or misconduct

  • Violations may result in suspension, withdrawal, or disciplinary sanctions.

  • Parents/guardians must:

    • Acknowledge and support all boarding policies.

    • Ensure full payment of fees.

    • Sign and submit all undertaking forms.

    • Respect the privacy and security of the boarding environment (no entry into student dormitories).

  • GIS reserves the right to:

    • Conduct periodic room checks for safety and compliance.

    • Adjust policies or schedules as necessary for student welfare.

    • Withdraw any student whose behavior, performance, or health affects the wellbeing of others.
